Sooo what even is TOG...

If you’ve ever stood in front of your baby’s wardrobe at bedtime wondering, “Is this too warm? Too cold? What even is a TOG?” you’re not alone. I have been there so many times, checking and rechecking the weather app trying to decide which would be better...

So… What Exactly Is TOG?

TOG is basically the sleeping bag thickness

Think of it like the “warmth rating” on your little one’s sleepwear.
The higher the TOG, the cosier and more insulated the sleeping bag is.

Babies can’t regulate their temperature as well as adults, so choosing the right TOG helps them stay: Comfortable, Safe and apparently Sleeping longer 😅

TOG Guide by Room Temperature

0.2 TOG

Best for hot weather, summer naps, or rooms 24–27°C+.
Lightweight and breathable. Perfect for warmer Aussie nights.

1.5 TOG

Great for spring, autumn or rooms around 20–23°C.
Soft, cosy and versatile — an everyday favourite.

2.5 TOG

Ideal for cooler months or rooms 16–20°C.
Snuggly and warm without overheating.

3.5 TOG

Ideal for winter or rooms 16°C and less.
Cosy baby.

Our Sleeping Bags Make TOG Simple

At Willow Baby n Co, we designed our sleeping bags to take away the confusion:

  • Soft, breathable bamboo to keep temps stable

  • Easy-to-read TOG labels

  • Travel-friendly designs (yes, they’re 5-point harness compatible!)

  • Cute patterns mums actually want to see every day

Because parenting is chaotic enough, sleepwear shouldn’t be.
